Wow, that is great. I'll try that for my trip to Calgary. I usually roll my clothes, you can get a lot in that way also.
I don't think this method would work for me going south. I take snorkel gear, sunscreen, etc. I suppose I could try to get my shortie fins and mask in the 2nd carry on. You can get insect repellant in wipes now, but not sunscreen.

this will work well, but we would still need to take an extra bag for our dive gear.
