Churros in Toronto?
« on: July 13, 2005, 09:26:00 AM »
I am visiting a friend this weekend and would like to surprise her by bringing along her absolutely favourite food while we were in Cuba -- churros.  Does anyone know where I can get them in Toronto?

I know there are recipes for them on the web, but since Martha Stewart's incarceration and subsequent house arrest, I've lost my motivation to cook.     <img border="0" alt="[cook]" title="" src="graemlins/ernaehrung002.gif" />

STUMPED......

I have absolutely no idea on this one Laura. Nice thought, but the airfare to get the treat for your friend will be a killer.  :rof:

 Good luck though.

Thanks anyway Steve, I assume Alfredo is not in the habit of cooking up a batch?

Perhaps we'll have to settle for the Italian equivalent that I found in a bakery on Wilson near Dufferin.
